Kyrie from Missa Brevis

Dietrich Buxtehude

Arr. Jane Frasier

$7.00

Dietrich Buxtehude is often considered the founder of the German Baroque style.  While he is often overlooked in favor of composers such as Bach and Handel, most of his contemporaries (including the aforementioned pair) considered him the ideal to which they should aspire.  Buxtehude's "Missa Brevis" is considered a masterpiece of early Baroque composition, and the Kyrie provides a good example of his style and technique.
