California Adventure

California Adventure was originally written as possible theme music for a reality television show about the life of a pool shark. The A-B-A Ternary form features a statement A theme by clarinet, trumpet and bells. The B section is a mix meter melody with a percussion foundation and marimba ostinato. Soon each instrument section makes their presence with complimentary melodies. A climax on the V chord resolves to the final A section and powerful ending.

Note: The marimba parts may either be played on one or two marimbas. If there isn’t a marimba available, xylophone, vibraphone, piano, or keyboard instrument is an adequate substitution.
