“Joy to the World” is one the most popular Christmas carols. The origin of the tune is unclear, but the lyrics can be attributed to English Hymn writer Isaac Watts. Lowell Mason adapted these lyrics to an older melody (often misatributed to Handel) in 1839, and this is the version common today.
