Tarantella was commissioned by and is dedicated to Valor Brass. Chris Clark, trombonist for Valor Brass, says this of the piece: “Tarantella is an exceptionally programmatic piece, meaning it’s an interesting, rhythmical sonic journey that audiences will enjoy and relate to immediately. The rolling 6/8 rhythm keeps Tarantella exciting, fun to play, and conjures many different images in listeners’ minds… MY image is of a giant tarantula out for a sunny afternoon stroll!”

A challenging but fun original work. 1st trumpet part provided in B♭ and E♭.
