Dancing Dreidel

Inspired by the beloved holiday classic I Had a Little Dreidel, Anthony DiLorenzo puts his own dazzling “spin” on the tune with a whirlwind arrangement originally scored for full orchestra and subsequently arranged for brass ensemble. Short, spirited, and irresistibly fun, this arrangement transforms a familiar tune into a dazzling concert gem.

• Trumpet 1 in B♭ (Doubles on B♭ Piccolo Trumpet)
• Trumpet 2–3 in B♭
• Trumpet 4 in B♭ (Doubles on Flugelhorn)
• Horn 1–2 in F
• Horn 3–4 in F (Optional)
• Trombone 1–2
• Bass Trombone
• Euphonium
• Tuba
• Percussion 1 – Timpani, Shaker, Triangle, Vibraphone
• Percussion 2 – Snare Drum, Glockenspiel, Vibraphone
• Percussion 3 – Marimba, Xylophone, Glockenspiel, Vibraphone
• Percussion 4 (Optional) – Piatti, Gran Cassa, Tambourine, Suspended Cymbal, Vibraphone, Glockenspiel

Percussion notes:
If you are short on players, eliminate Perc. 4 first, followed by either Perc. 2 or Perc. 1. Though it may be nice to have the flare and drive of the snare drum, you may prefer the body and weight of the timpani.
