Awake, My Heart with Gladness (Auf, auf, mein Herz, mit Freuden)

An Easter Hymn arranged for Brass, Timpani and Organ.I believe the tune is by Johann Crüger (April 9, 1598 – February 23, 1662), a German composer of well-known hymns. The Lutheran Hymnal I have lists it as No. 192 but I have seen it as 129. So here we have: Awake My Heart, with Gladness (7.6.7.6.6.6.6.6) Col 2:15, Auf Auf, mein Herz, mit Freuden, Paul Gerhardt. 1643 ab., Tr., John Kelly, 1867, alt.. I don't know much else about this work. The Brass parts add a brilliant and festive touch to the proceedings.
