"Eternal Father, Strong to Save" is a hymn often associated with the Royal Navy or the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps. Accordingly, it is often known as the Royal Navy Hymn or the United States Navy Hymn (or just The Navy Hymn), and sometimes by the last line of its first verse, "For Those in Peril on the Sea."

Written in 1860, its author William Whiting was inspired by the dangers of the sea described in Psalm 107. John B. Dykes, an Anglican clergyman, composed the tune "Melita" to accompany the text in 1861. This arrangement for standard brass quintet was written at the request of the arranger's friend, hornist Andy Parks. Lush romantic harmonies and the passing of the melody from player to player are its cornerstones.
