Commissioned by The Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra and composed for principal trumpet Phil Snedecor, ENGINUITY highlights four of America’s greatest innovations of the last one hundred years. Phil and the HSO gave the world premiere of Enginuity at the HSO Masterworks concerts on November 23rd and 24th.  The work incorporated feats of American achievement through narrative. The music’s overall feel is purely American with slight nods to a select few iconic American composers. The concerto loosely covers The Transcontinental Railroad, The Wright Brothers glider, The Model –T and the Moon landing.
