Resolution

Resolution begins with a trumpet solo followed by a faster section punctuated by driving rhythmic figures. A slower passage follows, ending with a section featuring the percussion. The main theme returns as a fast fugue building to the climax, with the opening trumpet solo emerging. The piece ends with all the instruments playing in unison, resolving the chaotic and dissonant middle section. The piece was premiered by the University of Northern Colorado Wind Ensemble, conducted by Dr. Kenneth Singleton.
