A la Nanita Nana is a traditional Spanish lullaby that has become closely associated with Christmas. The title roughly translates to “Lullaby, Little Baby,” and its gentle rocking rhythm evokes the tender act of a mother soothing her child to sleep. Although originally a secular cradle song, A la Nanita Nana was later embraced as a Christmas carol celebrating the Nativity, where the baby being rocked is the infant Jesus.
