Heralds Call

"Heralds Call" is an extended fanfare commissioned by the River Oaks Chamber Orchestra. The work was played at the end of a concert intermission to notify the audience the second half of the program was about to begin.

The brass instrumentation is somewhat flexible as can be played in the following configurations:

• 2 Trumpets in C and 2 Horns in F (as in score)
• 4 Trumpets in C and 4 Horns in F (score part doubled)
• 4 Trumpets in C (using alt. Hn. parts provided)
• 4 Trumpets in C and 2 Horns in F (lower 2 trumpet doubling horns)
