Escapade

If one were to combine the harmonic stylings of trumpeter Woody Shaw with Copland’s Hoe Down, you might end up with a piece like Escapade. This piece quickly cycles through multiple keys and occasionally layers some interesting and tasteful poly-tonality on top to build even more excitement.

Each instrument gets a chance to shine and there is a nice contrasting section in the middle of the piece.

This work demands technical excellence from all of the players and should keep true to the specified tempos.
