Conversation Pieces

A Three Movement Suite for Brass Quintet.  A perfect peice for intermediate ensembles.

Each of the movements is written to sound like a conversation between people as the instruments bounce back and forth or join together in harmony.

• At The Pub; is where the conversation goes from friendly, to not-so-friendly, to maudlin reconciliation at evenings end.
• Along the Coast Hand in Hand; is the quiet confidence between two lovers enjoying a walk along the beautiful Pacific shore as their conversation winds around together. 
• On the Docks; is a conversation among the sailors of Astoria about the sinking of a ship crossing the Columbia bar, sometimes talking all at once, and their thankfulness for reaching the docks alive this day.
