Wonderful Christmastime

“Wonderful Christmastime” is a Christmas song by Paul McCartney included as a bonus track on the 1979 Wings album, Back To The Egg. It is one of McCartney’s best known solo hits and enjoys significant Christmas time popularity in the UK and other English-speaking countries.

The horn is featured throughout this arrangement, and it nicely captures the spirit of McCartney’s mellifluous voice. Much of the arrangement is true to the original, but I’ve introduced a twist with a brief swing section as well as a humorous quasi-operatic duet between the trombone and 2nd trumpet.
