Perspiration Refrigeration

This trumpet quartet is based on funk-soul riffs and is a lot of fun to play. Each player gets an opportunity to solo and the soli section is an excellent vehicle to see how "tightly" everyone can play together.  The solos from the original recording have been transcribed or the players can improvise their own. If you have at least player with some high chops, then this soulful chart is a must!

Each solo was intended to have a different character, and are homages to some of my favorite trumpet players such as Maynard Ferguson, Greg Adams, Miles Davis, Woody Shaw and Lee Morgan.

Note that the sheet music has a slightly different (better) ending than the recorded version.
