Oskar Böhme was a German trumpeter and composer who made notable contributions to brass music during the late Romantic period. After studying at the Leipzig Conservatory, he moved to Russia around 1897, becoming a significant figure in St. Petersburg’s musical scene.
Composed circa 1906, the Sextet in E-flat Minor, Op. 30 is one of Böhme’s most enduring works. This work was original scored for two cornets, alto horn, tenor horn, baritone horn, and tuba. Arranged here for trumpet sextet.
