Walkabout

This is a fun, interesting and challenging piece written by Phil Snedecor.  It was composed for and premiered by The U.S. Army Trumpet Octet at the 2010 ITG Conference.  The recording from the debut is used as part of the ScoreFlipper playback.

This work incorporates a few styles as well as interesting effects, such as pitched "pops" on the mouthpiece and foot stomps.  This is sure to challenge your players and entertain your audience.  A great opener!

Instrumentation:

• Trumpets 1 & 2 in C
• Trumpets 3-6 in Bb
• 2 Flugelhorns

The "Ship to Me" version includes the parts shown above and score.  The PDF download version additionally includes the 1st & 2nd parts transposed for Bb trumpet (though performance on C trumpet is preferred).
