Concerto in A♭

A version for Piccolo Trumpet and String Orchestra was famously recorded by Maurice Andre and the Berlin Philharmonic under Von Karajan in 1974 for the album “Four Trumpet Concertos”. The first movement was dropped and the key shifted to concert Ab.

This is a new arrangement for Piccolo Trumpet in B♭ and piano with the same movements and key as the Andre recording:

• Allegro
• Sarabande
• Presto

Duration with repeats is about 6′ 00″ and without repeats is 4′ 30″.
