The dawn is here, the sun.
It’s hot.
The sand is like a dentist’s drill.
The rocks a graph against the sky.
Waves Break.
It’s still.
It’s noon.
The sun burns hot.
The day’s half over.
Way out at sea, a ship goes by. 
A man looks out and thinks of space, how far it goes, how up and down, how limitless.
The blur of dusk, all pink and gray.
The night is here, the moon.
