The Flight of the Bumblebee

“Flight of the Bumblebee”, from the opera The Tale of Tsar Saltan, is a theme following the scene where the magic Swan-Bird instructs the Tsar’s son how to change into an insect so that he can fly away to visit his father.   This virtuosic arrangement for four flutes is fun and challenging to play – a perfect opener or encore piece for the advanced ensemble.
