Carl Nielsen's last orchestral work, arranged here for Double Wind Quintet & Contrabassoon (with alt. Double Bass). Written for Danish Radio to commemorate the visit of Czech conductor Jaroslav Krupka.

The title refers to the main Danish tune, "Queen Dagmar", a princess of Bohemia who married Danish King Waldemar (1170-1241).
