The Finale from The Sixth Organ Sonata by Felix Mendelssohn (1809-1847) is one of the best-loved arrangements in my collection. This is the last movement of The Sonata for Organ in D Major, Op. 65, No. 6, transcribed for brass quintet. It has been described as "haunting and beautiful" by many a listener. It is perfect for prelude music at a wedding or even as a reflective piece in the middle of a service.
